Biography
Ms. Weiss, a member of Weiss & Weiss LLC, is experienced in representing financial institutions. She has practiced law in the following areas:
- Banking compliance work
- Commercial and residential mortgage-backed financial transactions
- Appraisal malpractice litigation
- Mortgage foreclosures
- Complex commercial litigation
She has also successfully negotiated large loan pool disputes and title claims.
She has acted as Interim In-House Counsel at Itochu International Inc., a large multi-national Japanese conglomerate, in 1994 and 1995, where she handled banking transactions, trade disputes, commercial and residential real estate transactions, commercial leasing, and corporate transactions.
She also acted as assistant bank counsel for River Bank America from 1993 to 1994, where she handled workout negotiations, asset management, and banking regulatory compliance.
